CGTalk - Superbad titles

I'm trying to replicate something similiar to the Superbad movie titles (see attached). I'm having some trouble with the black 3D portion- I'd like to be able to animate the text and have it update and appear 3D. Is there a plugin that can generate 3D text basically?
