great start and welcome!! :D im new here too, its a great place! i love your first drawing, kinda small, but good non the less. i like your style. really the only thing i can say is watch your eyes, the furthest one looks a little too small, though it should be small because its further away, i think its a little too small. other than that, seriously. i really like that drawing.

Dhame ...:)
THAT'S A GREAT DRAWING...I like the energy in those strokes..
It reminds me of some works that I have in a book called The ARCAHE EYE OF HOGARTH...by Burne Hogarth...:)
If you don't have any of his books, then check them out ...I think you would really enjoy them, and also learn a whole lot from them...He was a great teacher, and everything that he knew and taught about the human figure is contained in those books that he left behind...DYNAMIC FIGURE DRAWING by Burne Hogarth is one of his best, and in my opinion, should be part of the personal library of every artist that is interested in human anatomy, and the creation of figures from imagination, or any other way..:)
Anyway....HOPE TO SEE MORE OF YOUR WORK, AND PROGRESS...KEEP POSTING... :)

i love your lines... SO MUCH. they're so smooth and have such a graceful curve to them. you can really tell you know what your doing. beautiful job on this figure! the only thing i can say is the hips and shoulders may be just a tad too broad. other than that, beautiful :)!

hi everyone some new sketches.outdoor.
Hi Dhame.
Nice cows :) Very sketchy and free, the way I like it. Though the middle cow has a dogs face, hehe. That's how it appeared to me. Did you study animal anatomy?
Aaand, welcome!

Hi Dhame, great start! I really like the linework in your sketches, they seem very loose, but they are just the right lines to draw. Keep going!
So many talented people keep appearing at these forums lately... it's pure joy :D
Welcome and I hope you will spoil us with more work often

Hi...Dhame ...:)
There are many methods of drawing...Yours is the most natural, and exciting of them all, to me anyway...simply put...BEAUTIFUL ..:)
GREAT understanding of forshortening displayed in those last three buffalo that you posted..:applause:
Whatever you do, don't lose what seems to come so naturally to you..it's a GREAT GIFT.
I think that when and if you ever decide to pick up a paint brush, ..you will produce some OUTSTANDING paintings..:) .All in good time...just take your time,...when that time comes, you will know...it will come naturally, and it will show in your paintings..:)
I hope to see lots more from you...You might try doing lots of drawings from life...as you did those buffalo....I think.
Do animals, with people around them, in natural every day actions,..consentrating on composition as you draw...So that when you have a scene drawn, it will just be a few more steps to turn it into a full color painting ..You seem to be doing it already...Anyone of those three bufflo drawings that you did, would make great paintings..:)
ANYWAY....KEEP DRAWING, AND KEEP POSTING...IT'S A REAL PLEASURE SEEING YOUR WORK..

Your cow drawings are awesome. The simple and concise line work you've done on them is impressive, wish I could do that. :)

Hey Dhame!! I love those buffalo-drawings!!:scream: keep 'em coming!!
btw, it would be nice if you can upload your images on a site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com and insert the links in your post, so that we can see them directly on the page! Also, I think there is a space-limit for uploading directly to cgtalk, which means after a time, you will have to delete old files to upload new ones.

Hi...Dhame...:)
WOW...Those last ones are BEAUTIFUL DRAWINGS...:applause:
Can't say it any better than Anand did, so I will just repeat what he said.....AWESOME....
Keep going like you are, ....you might even work a little on creating a flow in the composition that includes a forground, middle ground, and a distant background...all of which lead into and around your main figures..think in termes of visual flow and cohesivness while composing.
When you compose, you want to be like the director in the making of a movie ...draw the viewers eye to where you want them to go, and create the pace at which you want them to get there...Make them stop here and there along the way,..from distant background, to middle ground, to forground,...and all around, over and over again,...so that they never want to leave...but be sure to give them an exit, or they will begin to feel trapped after awhile...just make the exit so that they are totally unaware of it's presence, and find themselves out of the composition, but wanting to go back into it for the ride you have provided ..one more time....create the entrance/eye catcher...MAIN FIGURES..AND ACTION....everything else should be subordanent/secondary to the main event/action..
REALLY looking forward to seeing more of your work, and the GREAT progress that seems to come with each new post that you make...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK..A REAL PLEASURE SEEING IT..

Hi ...Dhame..:)
ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DRAWING...
Burne hogarth told me one time that a common mistake that people make,..is to make the limbs that are receeding into space smaller in diamiter than the limbs that are closest to the viewer...He said that on a figure, the limbs should always be the same diamiter/width across,..even if they are receeding in space,...because the little space that the human figure can occupy in perspective, does not allow for the farthest limb to be smaller in diamiter than the closest limb...breaks the rules of perspective and volumes in space when you do that with the human figure.
He told me this, when I showed him a figure that I was working on, where I had made the farthest arm smaller in diamiter than the closest arm...I told him that I thought because it was further away, I thought it should be smaller...He just laughed, and shook his head,..said it was impossible, and that in order for the fathest arm to be smaller in diamiter, it would have to be five feet away from the closest arm ...then he told me what I just told you...:)
I noticed you did the smaller thing with the farthest eye in the first drawing that you posted, and now with the farhest arm on this latest drawing,...so I just thought of what he told me while I was in his class years ago,...and thought it worth mentioning to you...:)
ANYWAY...REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF YOUR WORK...ALWAYS A PLEASURE... :)
