View Full Version : how to animate cartoon style hair (nurtbs)
theanimeister 09-16-2007, 02:10 PM hi guys. i need some advice as to how i can animate a cartoon hair. my character's hair loks like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/macmeister/hair_animates.jpg
i want each nurbs strand to behave according to air direction, gravity etc. especially when my character is running and jumping. please help :(

ey dude. there r 2 ways 4 doin that A. skin each of them separately n then use the Jiggle Deformer, which will giv the secondary motion or B. u can use softbodies.

hi prototypemale! thanks very much for the response. ive been tryin the dynamic spline ik method and converted the curve to soft bodies but i seem not to get it :( i havent tried jiggle deformers before, so i hope that's the answer to my problem. anyway, how do u apply jiggle deformers? to what? thanks a lot.

the hair looks good is any other part of the character made with nurbs
the splines should be working this uses splines

this uses reactor motion

you will need adobe shockwave, should auto install

hi tyree tnx for the response tho i was able to rig the cartoon hair now. i used blendshapes controlled by sdk. the reactor motion sounds new to me tho.
