I know that I'm working on lots of things at the same time but I just can't stick to only one painting ^^

Here's the WIP of the 2nd collab I'm doing with Aaron Sikstrom aka Seethrou (http://seethrou.deviantart.com).
He did the sketch and I'm coloring it :)

I hope you'll like it, feel free to comment and crit ;)

The original sketch is really cool and I love what you're doing with it. In the fourth image, the colour scheme really pops out at you! Can't wait to see the next stage.

I'm not sure about the bright blue and purple on the necklace and the fringe covering her breast - of course it might look awesome once you've finished. Right now I'm thinking they might look suit pink pearl/shell colours.

Thank you very much Anton and Louisa! :)

Louisa : I want to make her necklace the same color as the morpho butterfly but I may change it :) Thank you!

An update (I wanted to make her look more mysterious)

Very well done. I agree about not working on one piece. When you get stuck start another. Usually work on 4 at a time.

This is a great piece and I'm sure it will be well received. I know you have probably considered this but is she topless or not? If she is, and you want to hide the detail on her breast, I would paint in more of the neckless to cover slightly or something organic to hide her aerolas, otherwise I would just paint them on. In any case I would paint on her nude features and cover them up so her breasts don't look like they are unnatural.

If it is a body suit, I would make it more apparent that it is.

Excellent work though. Beautiful colors and composition.

Thank you very much Iman and Ken :)

About the breasts : I'm going to add nipples, but they'll be slightly covered by the external elements :)

About the hands : I have not done the sketch, I'm just coloring it so I'm trying to keep the original lines ;)

I like it alot, very unique.:) I have a question though as far as painting technique. What do you do when you're done painting over the drawing?

Do you delete it, or are you just painting over and covering it completely? I'm trying to attempt this kind of technique, but it's very difficult since my own sketches can get messy.

To make things harder, I'm painting with a mouse, but I have worked my way around the difficulties. Still, I'm starting to want for the wacom tablet.^_^

This is coming along nicely, the whole concept is brilliant (and I bet you're having a lot of fun with this one :). The sketch might be a problem. I think it's best to use it to help you out with the value composite, but eventually you'll have to delete it (I'm guessing you won't need the line art on the final and you're already planning to do this, just wanted to throw it out there). Keep up the good work!

Thank you very very much people!

I am sorry, I had not updated this thread for a looong time, I had totally forgotten it :(

Here are some steps and the finished version, I hope you'll like it!

About the painting technique : I'm painting on only one layer, covering all the lines otherwise my computer crashes :D

This took all my nerves, I have spent 142 hours on it, mostly due to the fact that I lost the file 3 times... the most annoying one has been when my old computer had a problem and I lost the nearly finished painting, I have had to buy a new computer and to repaint it from the beginning, I HATE when it happens! (as stupid as I am, I had not even saved it in my external hard drive... I will NEVER do this mistake again!)

I have learnt a lot from it but I was really exhausted in the end due to the amount of troubles that happened to me while painting it. Now it's done, I'm quite happy with it, but I swear I won't paint things that detailed for a long while ^^

At least it is something refreshing in my "portrait gallery" :p

...je suis scotché, ça pique un brin les yeux :scream:

at hop... CTRL+P for the memory
