Anyone know what the mel command is to change the visibility of layers?

when I echo all the commands it gives me :

layerEditorLayerButtonVisibilityChange Foreground;

but I'm lookin for a command where I can assign it's visibilty with a 1 or 0 rather than just toggle it as that command would do.
