Not many of those.. what are you trying to get a handle on? Modelling?
Basically for anythign you wil be doing alot of repetitive tasks you want to get an idea of your most frequently used command and create shelf, hypermenu or hotkeys so that you can access those functions quickly.

i tried the markingmenus, but they dont seem as intuitive as the quadbox in max. no bitching just an observation. so i guess i will look at the shelves.
on another topic of the gui, when i tear off a viewport and drag it to the the other monitor, the merking menus only popup on the primary montitor, so its not really helpful. is there some setting that i am missing? its really a pain in the ass.
thanks for ur help

use the marking menus - they are even extensible
you'll get used to it... i mean what better way to avoid moving your mouse across the whole screen every time you want to do anything? You'll get used to it!
But i want to see the video's too!

I prefer shelves.. also many times I will just rtear off menus and put there near where I am working so they are close to enough click on without having to move the mouse very far.
I never have gotten to used to using the marking menus.
