hi... guys....

i was newbie in C4D... but i've been in XSI and 3dsmax before, for everyday modelling, animating, and render...

i'm interest in C4D since i'm using Mac now...

but i have a problem in using Hypernurbs for smoothing all object that i exported from XSI or Max as .obj file, as i export this in low subdiv and i have a plan to smooth than render it in C4D...
it's easy to add Hypernurbs while i made all model directly in C4D...but it was quite slow to add Hypernurbs in exported object in attribut manager, as hypernurbs object always be a new object that laid in first place, top in attribut manager.. and than i drag one by one my object into new Hypernurbs that i've been create..

is there anyway for using smooth tool, as a modifier or something that i can add them easily in every object.... for example in Max... i only need for choosing all object that need for smooth and i add them mesh smooth...
in XSI i choose all object that need for smooth, and i click + in numlock, than all easily smooth...

ths for help...
btw except for that workflow that i run it before, C4D is one of nice sotware in my life :)

If i undeerstood correctly you're trying to smooth multiple objects using only one hypernurbs objects, the way to do this is to put all your parts under a null object and make the null a child of the hypernurbs like inthe atachement

you can add a hypernurb directly to an object when its selected by holding alt when you click to add the HN object.

Also there are shortcuts for increasing and decreasing the HN subdivisions while your using the polygon object.

On a Mac, hold "option" rather than alt...

but let me know, How to save this preference key as a file? i need to have default and custom keymap file..
just like saving layout as a file that i've done

it's not a HN shortcut holding down the alt key with an object selected and instatianting another object will result in the selected object beeing a child of the new object, if i remember right holding down ctrl works the other way around :)

meandmysky as far as i know u dont need to save ur custom keys at all...at least for me c4d keeps ur custom keys at next start

modifiers are not customizable so ALT is locked down sadly. you could simply make a script and assign it any key you want.

for increase and decrease subdivision you use the command manager, select the command and then type the shortcut you want into the input box. it saves it automatically.

i use keymap file for working in someone or friends computer.. it's not good if i change them, so i bring my own keymap file..

i used same keys for Max and XSi, so i change C4D too
for example / key, i use it for select object by name(Max), Explorer(Xsi), and Object manager(C4D);
Z for maximize viewport..
1 2 3 for vertex, edge, poly..
