Painter X R Mouse Click Brush Select Bug

Hi,

Tell me if this is what you mean:

You went to the Customize Workspace dialog box and closed the eye icons for any brush categories and brush variants you don't want to see listed in the Brush Selector Bar's brush category list and brush variant list.

When you choose a brush category you want to use, then choose a brush variant in that brush category and right click to see a list of available brush variants, instead of seeing only the ones you left available (Eye icon open), you see the entire list of brush variants for that brush category.

The same thing happens to me and I don't consider it a serious bug since I can easily choose the brush variant I want, either from that list of from the Brush Selector Bar's brush variant list.

In fact, if what I deciphered from your post is accurate, refer them to this thread so they can read my post.

I think there is to a bug in Painter X that when using a custom workspace (in my case with a truncated brush selection palette)


If I understand you correctly, instead of "brush selection palette" you actually mean the Brush Selector Bar's brush variant list.


the right mouse brush variant popup no longer works right. You get a different variant on the same popup list.

It appears that the popup menu is not recognizing the custom palette.


Again, if I understand you correctly, the contextual menu that appears when you right click in the image is not reflecting your changes made in the Customize Workspace dialog box and not showing the same list you see in the Brush Selector Bar's brush variant list.

This is not a "custom palette". In Corel Painter, a Custom Palette is something else entirely.


The regular brush variant selector bar (on the main menu) works fine.

The brush variant list is not "on the main menu". Main menus are across the top of the Painter screen. It's in the Brush Selector Bar.

First, thanks for the detailed response. I apologize for the garbled terminology. Your interpration is right. It may not be a serious bug, but it's annoying if you rely on the context menu. I will email Corel.

I guess the short version would be that the Brush Variant context menu doesn't recognize the Eye Icon = off state in the Customize Workspace Dialog.

I understand you can still select the variant from the Brush Selector Bar, but I'm not sure what the other list is you're referring to.
