to be done in 3ds max 5

Concept (to be created in max 5 (and combustion if needed)

anyway I want to do a animated scene at the end under some credit text. The concept of the scene would be an animated camera following a given path on a low angle macro view of realistic skin surface terrain and also leaving a thick black line, as if the camera is on the tip of a needle or behind it

How would I go about doing:

1. texturing the skin surface (w/ animated revealed tattoo) to make it realistic?

2. model the surface out of (a huge plane w/ texture?)

3. animating the camera (movements in various direction and finally rotate to ariel view zoom out to reveal that it is a tattoo
(maybe having to camera follow a path of preordain tattoo design?)
4. animating and creating tattoo being created effect along w/ the camera moving?

5. I also want to have hair folicules pertruding from the surface similiar to the one in this pic --

Andy Murdock did a closeup skin surface for a job at Mondo Media awhile back.
