that's look pretty sweet for someone gettin into 3ds max
i don't know but to me the only thing that looks kinda messy is around the mouth, but not sure, right where the top left mouth bump connects right below it that is where it looks messy.
good work though

Not bad for a beginner. I would change the backround though, its kind of bugging me. I really like the texture on the skull, it has a real weathered look to it. If its really worn out I would break off one of the horns and give it a more damaged feel. And lastly I would make each of the two sides look slightly unique. Especially looking at the 2 horns going down, its really obvious that they are mirrored.
Surprisingly how he eats never really bothered me. For all I know he could have had a trunk like an elephant to get his food.

Really great update! The snake looks really cool. The backround no longer bugs and breaking off the horns makes it look a lot less asymetrical (sp?). I would say it's done and call it a day
If your thinking of tweeking it though in the near future and still need something to improve I would maybe raise the center horn A little higher from the mouth. Not much mind you, but a little space is needed for whatever tissue, cartilage, trunk, or feeler thing he had going on in the mouth section.
