Hi guis, this is the my first thread on cgtalk, the my problem is how to attach an object to the vertex of a spline and let the object follow the movement of the spline vertex generated by a displacement space warp or other modifiers like morpher and so on...
usually a use a spline with splineIK modifier to manage it's form, secondary use a path constraint to lock objects on the spline and manually position the objects close to the spline vertexes
now I want to assign an object per vertex and I want to do this in maxscript, wich command in maxscript can I use to "read" the vertexes of a spline and use the resulting coodrinates for control the position of objects ?!??
the snapshot command is good for positioning but not for to follow movements deriving from deformations
the solution have to work also if I apply a modifier on the spline, i.e. if I bend the spline the objects have to follow the spline vertexes
does anyone know a therd covering this problem?
does anyone had the same prblem?
thanks to all
