i have a macbook pro and did have 1 gb of ram.
i got a ram upgrade today to 2gb. and i was told that this upgrade would make zbrush run faster. perhaps i was mislead to some degree.

ive input my ram, i can tell my mac recognises it as i can see the 2gb of ram in the system profiler.

ive gone to preferences in zbrush, and changed the mem amount. but no improvement at all.

anything i may be doing wrong. or will a ram upgrade imporve performance at all.

i think you will only notice it when you have a high dense mesh. zbrush will not write on hdd in (early) high stages like before. and you can use more polys.

i had quite a large dragon whcih was on division 7. when i tired it on zbrush before i got the upgrade i took note of how jerky it moved when rotating the object.

then with the gb of ram put in, its still jerking around.

ram doesnt make zbrush "faster" like a better cpu. the only advantage is that it doesnt write to hdd like before. but i dont have a clue about mac stuff, dunno how it works there.

the problem is your graphics card, not ram.
