View Full Version : HOW DO i RENDER WIREFRAMES N VERSION 8?
addicted2_3D 04-03-2003, 07:46 PM HOW DO i RENDER WIREFRAMES N VERSION 8? IT was way easier in 7 to do so, but I am unfamiliar in v8 how to accomplish it. Basically what I'm going for is a fad in from my model to wireframe, perferably with the backface culling on so it doesn't look too messy. Would a bohdi nut shader work? Ieeeea Columba!! I sure don't know. Help?! :bounce:

ummm turn on cel render...this is in the effects section of your render settings...with show edges...render this out then render out the model and comp the two together in premire or after effects

Another possibility is to put your model within an Atom Array object. Just set the cylinder and sphere diameters to a smaller value (you will have to experiment with this...I use .5m and .5m respectively) It gives a very good result although you will not be able to affect backface culling with this method. You are in effect creating a 3d cage.

Mentat7: love that tip about atom array...if you duplicate you model and then atom array you can have model + over the top the wireframe lines with any texture colour you like keeping original model intact...well cool...looks well funky.

another method would be Tessa in Ditools R8, under modification select Wire.

those all make wire meshes, none of them are wirefram renders, the further away an edge is the thinner it is, thats not right ina wirefram render.
YOu don't need a plugin to do that either, simply select all faces, extrude innner as far as you want and then hit delete. Currently the only true wireframe for C4D is the cel render which only lets you do hiddenline wireframes. there should be better third party options for this available. Just an itch.
