Hi ,
This is a pretty simple problem actually which i worked out some time ago but things are to intense right now to fiddle and find out the method
I've got a head setup ...i've binded the bones to the head (smooth bind) and then the eyes (modeled separately) smooth binded with effect 1.0 flooded , and bound solid to the head bone so it moves in perfect sync with the face.
Now heres the problem - i can rotate the head n neck joint alright and everything works great but when i want to rotate the eye (sphere) independently - im unable to (since the rot node is locked by the bone - which i unlocked ) but when i get the rotation handle it hasnt transformed along with the eye - the pivot is still in the same place as it was earlier - of course i can say center pivot now and rotate but that could cause problems later.
Now i need to have the eye rotatable on its own center as well as transform along with the bone joint without it moving away from the face -
i tried grouping the bone separate to have a separate node to rotate with but no luck - i know the solution is simple - but nothin seems to be working in my head at the moment cos i have 2 assignments due 2morO and this project the day after!
