Xeav, this has already been removed once for being old news. Please refrain from posting it again.

It's not old news, you can actually now download it from Softimage.com, so it is "news" that it's now "availble" and not "announced".

The new features, packing and pricing were all announced at the start of last month
and it's been available for some time, but yes, a download (http://softimage.com/downloads/XSI_Advanced/default.aspx)was made available yesterday. Where in Xeav's post does it says this?

Perhaps if there was more specific information then there wouldn't be any confusion.

I don't think it does, but would be happy to be proven wrong.
I remember reading something about 6.5 preserving backwards compatability with 6.0x, so I don't know how a new MR core would feature into that equation.

I think it just became available, yes?

Either way, no reason to get upset about it.

Unfortunately it does not, while 'The Others' do.

mia_exposure_photographic
mia_material_x
mia_light_surface
mia_portal_light

and others will be missed sorely.

From what i understand this release is not actually a "real" upgrade...instead its more of a temporary-carry-over-reshuffle-type thing before XSI 7 hits next year with all the big stuff :p
This is why there is no FND version for 6.5.
So i'd guess MR 3.6 will be in 7 along with a lot of other cool stuff :)

We've downloaded the installer, the binaries and documentation say it's 3.5.7.23 - same as XSI 6.02

Still waiting for the licenses updates.
