CGTalk - Rendering timestamp

Hi,

I'm working on animation and would like to render it with a timestamp, a number at the bottom of the frame indicating the frame number and the time in hour/minute/second format. Is this something that can be done with a mell script, could any oue share this with me? Thank you for your time.
