Hi,

I am doing a project where I have to model and texture a plane. I have modelled the plane and is now time to lay the uv's out for texturing. I just have a question about the seams on the plane wings that have to be exact.

here is my current checker map Hn the model. (I have just done to planar maps to and bottom).

I am needing these to be exact as I will be painting metal panels which will be straight and run straight through the wing edge. (here is an example of what I mean:

Without welding the uv's (can only do one side anyway). How would you set the uv's up so that the panels would lineup exactly.

Thanks for any advise

Jim.
