View Full Version : Help needed AGAIN

I modelled a Dwarf Warhammer in cinema 4d and imported this into mudbox so i could do some sculpting on it.
When i try to sculpt the hammer goes haywire, , it dissapears or the mesh goes shooting off at an angle around the screen, i cant even stencil on it.

When i try a sphere mesh etc from within mudbox, i can sculpt and do everything else.

I'm sure it is an import problem, but it even happend when i saved the hammer within mudbox.

Any Ideas.

Sounds like the scale is off.

Ok forgive me i'm a newb at mudbox, how do i change the scale for imported objects.

Do i need to UV map the model in C4D first.

Hi,

You can uv the model if you want, isn't required for sculpting but helps baking displacement maps etc. The best way to get scale right is to export mudbox primitives i.e sphere, cube as obj, then import in C4d then scale your model acording to it.

tin-tin, lets see if i get this right. Export the mudbox objects (sphere,cube etc) as obj into cinema 4D then the C4d model i rescale to the mudbox object and then export that into mudbox.

Is that correct
