I wasn´t worried about IM, not with nowadays CG technology.
The tricky part was always getting Tony Stark right and they seem to have captured him quite nicely.

I agree the subtle wobble, perhaps glimpsed from actual footage of a sky diver, and perhaps the redbull flying man video...really nice

very cool trailer. downey is dry, underplaying and witty. good. cool thing about arms dealers/makers, the military industrial complex. great. love the design of the suit(s). heck, even love the MATERIAL of the suit (which i didn't for spider man) and the glow and palette are really... COOL. and indeed the subtle and dead on camera drift in midair flight and the quality of the comp REALLY makes you feel like you're there.

in a tour de force of really excellent decision making...

of all the people that this had to go through... all the animatics artists, all the animators, all the vfx supervisors, the director, the producers, the paramount execs....

that when he uses his palm repulsors to thrust with his wrists kinked out just so... that iron man looks a little bit like iron gal?

that he looks like he might start flapping his wrists and daintily take mach 1 flight like a pretty little girl?

oooo, howabout if he starts doing jazz hands when he maneuvers like for barrel rolls and such?

FISTS people... FISTS! or if they absolutely feel like they have to motivate his ability to steer with the palm repulsors, then back of hands facing rearward (or if sideways, in line with is arm) and make hogarth claws.... or something!

not like he's just about to model his latest outfit.

but. I've seen amazing trailers before, and when it comes to the movie they suck in argument, lines, etc
I'm very excited for this and I really like Rob Downey so I hope the movie will be just great!!

I would probably be more annoyed if he was in super-hero pose all the time like Superman or Zod flying around with his fists clenched. He's just a guy in a robo suit so I like that there is some awkward-ness about it and some realism to the flight dynamics from having thrust vectors out of the wobbly extremities of the hands and feet.

It's going to kick ass!

This looks so friggin' awesome it hurts my face. I really don't think with Favreau + Downey on board there is much chance of this sucking. And the suit looks *perfect*; just like Ultimate Iron Man.

I might've noticed if Iron Man *didn't* fly palms out. He has repulsors in the palms of his suit; that's how he's supposed to fly.

most of the comics i've seen don't have him needing to use repulsors to fly... repulsors (tm) are usually used as weapons.

just do a search on iron man and check out images.

i wasn't gonna get that geeky - was commenting merely on the visual appearance of it - it doesn't really matter whether it's all that true to the comic if looked right....

....but since i'm being pressed... :)
