An ancient prophesy convinces the powerful Master Sorran to commence an obsessive search for Eron, a mythical place capable of giving the Chosen One infinite knowledge.
For the sake of his obsession many apprentices die, and Sorran is banished and apparently slain by the leaders of his own Order. Centuries later he reappears, as if having learned to deceive death, and discovers the location of Eron with the help of a young apprentice and the reinvigorated Imperial forces. Master Zui Mar and young Hope, who is overshadowed by a terrible secret, are sent to stop him. However, the Council carefully abstain from revealing all that awaits the two warriors, and the terrible destiny they have foreseen for them.

Nothing from Lucas? I thought he shot down anything coming near the Star Wars universe - other that the contest based fan films?

There were some nice effects........

Quite the opposite from what I've seen and know from others deep in the Star Wars fan world. It seems to be that if you avoid the main characters, main story arc and stay clear of being revisionist, and do it all for non-profit, Lucasfilms has no issue with any fan film.

I think Lucas realizes just how valuable to his property these types of things are. No one is really going to confuse a fan film with an officially produced Star Wars film, so it hardly dilutes his efforts and, in the end, it only helps build a more hungry audience for authentic Star Wars features.

After all, it was a lot of the fan based things that help keep the property alive during the years between act 2 and act 1, and I think Lucas is aware of that.

Lucas is unusually cool about people making things based on his properties. He even was the judge of a Star Wars fan film contest on Sci-Fi.
