janus 04-03-2003, 03:00 PM hello!
i think 3d and animation is very exciting and i want to get some more information about work in c4d, maybe some good tricks and it should help improve my workflow.
does anyone know a good book which would fit for me? i would also prefer german ones if they're worth buying and reading!
thanks in advance, janus
edit: would also love to read some online-tutorials, so post some links plz ;)

Hi. My favorite is Maxon Cinema 4d 7 by Arndt von Koenigsmarck. I have heard he has one out for v.8 but mabey I just heard he was working on one. These are both available in German. If the v.8 is not going to be out for a while I would still recommend getting the V.7 book. Some of it is dated but you will learn a lot. I loved it.

Why don't you simply look at the top of the forum? :)

If you prefer your books in German, then perhaps you might be interested in www.c4d-treff.de , the German site/forum too? There are many more books in German than in English, and over there you can get all the info you need.
(this does not mean that you're not welcome over here too!!)

thanks a lot so far, maybe some more members post their experiences with c4d-books.
yeah right, i haven't looked through the tut-thread, that's right, sorry.
yeah memorize everything in the tutorials thread and then call us in a year or two. (it will take you that long :) ).
anyway my experiences with C4D books start and end with the manuals. which I found very helpful. but I do plan to buy arndt's book if it comes out in english.
