View Full Version : Does C4D benefit from a Quadro GFX Card
fxgogo 09-08-2007, 11:34 PM Hello, I wanted to know if Cinema 4D will benefit massively from having a quado GFX card as opposed to a 8600 card. I am mainly interested in the mobile versions of these gfx cards, and my final choice of laptops is based on this choice.
I really don't want to pay an extra £400 for something like a 10% increase in speed when working in C4D. Do any of you have any experience with this?
Thanks.

The Quatros don't go much faster. What you are paying for is certified drivers i.e. each new driver update is tested with the major applications to make sure they work.

That what I have been thinking, Cinema 4D specifically is written so well, my five year old machine still peforms rather well. 3DS Max is another thing altogether.
