View Full Version : arch material appear like constant ?

Hi Guys .
I'am working on arch viz project in xsi 6.02 and all the material that i'am used is architectural material , it's appear in viewport as constant shader it's hard to see anything until you check wire on shaded is there any solution for that .

After Updating to 6.5 the problem is still there . is this a bug or i miss somthing

I think thats just the way it is shown in the viewport. I always use "Hidden line removal". Or just switch on "Wireframe on shaded" if you want to use "Shaded" view.

You should modify the SPDL. Change the ui mapping of the diffuse parameter. The arch. mat use the constant one ( I can't understand why ! ), replace it with the lambert one ( you need to change only one number ).

thank you Migga and Buuu for your reply , after changing the ui mapping the arc material is now appear like labmert but when i change another parameter like transparecny it's not reflect that changing in the viewport like the other material in xsi .
anyway it's best than befor . thank you again

Can you post the changes please? I tried it but it didn't change anything in the viewport.

Edit The Spdl for MIA , Change the number 1 (in red) with (2) and restar XSI

Thanks! I think I tried the wrong file before. After changing mia_material_phen.spdl it worked
