Probably an improved formula. Sci-Tech awards don't imply only totally new inventions, but also improvements to older techniques that have had impact in the industry.

Great to hear that SESI got nominated. Considering the small team they have, they're doing an amazing job..

How small is their team exactly? Considering the major chnages to Houdini 9 I thought the team would be bigger.

I think the whole company is around 40 people (including the several people they hired this spring and summer).
