Well I found the tutorials that aim to get users used to the tablet interface. So I've taken the batteries out of my mouse, wrapped them up, and put them and the mouse in my drawer. I'm just using my tablet now to navigate around. I have a 6x4 & 1/2 Genius 560. The pen is a bit larger than I would prefer, and it has a weird toggle switch button thing on the end where I hold it. I THINK I have it down, but I was looking for specific pen holding instructions. I use my right hand, so consider all this I would love your advice.

To be more specific here are a few questions I have... Do you hold the pen near its base, in the middle, or at the top? To you rest your arm on the desk and tablet, or leave it in the air? Do you rest your fingers or hand on the tablet? What is the ideal holding angle?

Anyhow I apreciate your help! Starting to feel futuristic here, graduation from a mouse and all. Next I need one of them virtual laser keyboards, and a holographic monitor :D

hold it like how you hold all your pens and pencils while you draw and write. there is no special technique to it. the only thing you have to learn is to navigate the pen on the tablet while only looking at the monitor, which is super easy to get used to.

I agree that the pen is too thick for a comfortable grip - for me anyway (the art pen is a bit easier to hold). You should hold it any way you are comfortable with although it would be better to hold it in such a way that you can press the button, top and bottom, with relative ease.
