Hello all.

This was my recent submission to the 11secondclub. Unfortunately I didn't win but I got some really good critiques and I'm shooting for next month’s entry. Any comments and critiques would be welcomed. Thanks again

Good stuff! I like the ending and the acting matches nicely. Good timing on the eyes. Nice lip sync. I think the beginning needs an adjustment in the dialog she takes a breath before talking. But the character remains still, and starts when the dialog does. besides that its Pantab.

Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty happy with the results but I do agree the begining does need a little more umph to it.

what up chris!

A couple things that stood out were the arms twinning on the first couple poses and not a lot of life in the fingers. Other than that I think with something this emotional you really need to push the head. There were opportunities to add lots of subtle little head bobs to accent the dialogue and reinforce the energy in her voice. Also I think the facial could have been pushed farther. At first I thought it was maybe a limited setup in the rig but I just watch the winning clip and I can see that that character can definitely hit some extreme poses. The last thing I noticed was the upper body just felt kinda stiff. I think more movement left to right and up and down, ppushing the curve in her back, would have helped out quite a bit.

I think for the most part though you picked some good poses did a great job of getting from one to another. I liked the detail in the shoulders and think with a bit more practice you'll be able to impress some people. My biggest advice would be to challenge yourself a bit more. Stay away from the "character at a table" shots for awhile. Animating the whole body will generally come off more impressive then something like this... but... for what it is I think you did a great job.

Thanks, as usual awesome critique and comments Kevin. And your right I really should have pushed this animation a lot more then what I did or didn't do for that fact.

When I was working on the facial I had trouble trying to push the face further with the rig but when I say the winning clip... even before it won I knew I missed something.

I'll definitely try to challenge myself and push things much further in the next clip. Thanks again for the comments.
