Have enough people tried Painter 10 to able recommend upgrading to it? I'm getting used to 9 and really beginning to like it.

Hi,

I have, use, and like both Painter IX.5 and Painter X.1.

I guess the answer depends on how you want to use the program, and how much you want to know and use whatever is new in the latest version.

Have you read the information on the Corel Painter X website about the new features, and have you downloaded and used the free 30 day trial version of Painter X?

If not, doing so might help you decide.

Increased Performance: Corel Painter X has been optimized to provide artists with the fastest version of Painter—ever! Depending on system hardware,

Well, i think Painter X feels a bit better than IX, but for me it wasnt worth upgrading to X just for a few changes, I was specting something a bit more readical like what adobe did to Photoshop CS3, but it was a mild improvement.

Unless you are into foto retouching i would recomend to wait til version XI
