I am working on a project wich should have a similar animationstyle, like it is used in "Southpark". So it has to look 2D and less "fluent" in the moving. I read that they import AI´s in Maya and every character contents of several layers, which are animated.
My question in general is: do they animate the visibility of different pics of one layer, for example the arms, or are the AI´s layers animated itself?
I would be very thankfull for explanations, other technics or links for further informations!
