Hello guys

Iam trying to make a foot roll in 3dmax but iam having some trouble when i try to react the different bones with the slider. Iam trying to do it with the reaction manager but this tool is WoW!!

What ever happend to the reactor controllers it looks so much more easier.. most of the tut. i search on the net used the reactor controller but when i search the help or tut files of max i get the reaction instead anyway I was wondering if there is another way of doing that or should i keep trying the reaction tool.

Thanks

I find script controllers more flexible, as you can then have CA`s that alter what angle the foot has to be when the roll kicks in. Or even dial out the roll and go from heal to toe instead

The Reaction Manager works fine for foot rolls and such, just try a few basic examples first to get you started with it and you should be good to go!

Yeah, I must admit it behaves a bit funny at times, and I hate the fact it adds in states on it's own.

I normally add my driver. Select my slaves in the scene, then add the attributes I need. Once that's done I delete out all the states that max saved for me and create my own states.

This means that if you've added extra attributes under one driver you can just set a single state for the reaction... Err... If that makes any sense! :)
