Can any one give me some idea of how to model and animate a fuse. One that slowly burns away...

hmm easiest way is a spline with a circle sweeped on it then animate the growth setting decreasing.
Thanks Kai,
but what if the fuse is a windy besier spline?
hey couldnt help but notice your from edmonton too..
anyways... you made the fuse as a sweep nurb right?
if so if you open up the parameters or in the am window there will be a setting for growth....you want it to start at 100% when the fuse is first lit then change it to 0% when you want the fuse to be burnt out
try putting two together so that one has a glowing texture and the other one doesnt. so that you have the effect of one end burning. also maybe but some sorta particles emitter at the end so that you have the whole sparking effect.
Sometimes it amazes me that I can be so braindead.
I was unaware of the growth parameter. Thanks to both of you for your patience.
