Title: Invitation Illustration
Name: Simon Glas
Country: Netherlands
Software: Lightwave 3D, Photoshop
Hi all,
This is an illustration I made for the invitation to the last lecture of a professor who is retirering.
One of his big passions is tennis. The idea behind the picture is that because it is his last day, instead of his normal books and papers, he takes his tennis gear to work. Because after his last lecture he has all the time in the world to play tennis.
I realy tried to put the emphasis on atmosphere. Lighting and colors were chosen to give a warm, comfortoble feeling. I think I sucseded partly.
I never tried to go for photorealism. I don't mind if things look CG, but they have to be convincing in their own universe. This also partly sucseded. I'm happy about the result.
What do you think?
