Looks pretty cool. Is it work driving an hour to see (for someone who's only seen about 2 minutes of Cowboy Bepop on TV)? Pitty it's got such a limited release.

So this would be some "magic" video store, with a (currently nonexistant) R1 release of the Bebop movie?

Some of us like watching real movies in real movie theatres, as well.

(and some of us think that the dubbing work on Bebop has been nothing short of exemplary, but that's straying too far from the point..)

The movie isn't nearly as good as the TV series.

it's a great movie. it's like a 2 hours long episode of the tv show. can't go wrong with that!

my roommate bought the all-region DVD a few months back and I have been enjoying it on my home theatre ever since. it's a great action flick. very entertaining.

too bad I won't get to watch it on celluloid.

When a review starts off with, "Based on a popular Cartoon Network series of the same name, which I have never seen (because I hate cartoons)" , I just stop reading. But I am looking forward to seeing it myself right down at the local theater. ;) I love L.A.!

That second review was just laughable... The writer couldn't spell either. And the movie was made long before Sept 11th... Gah stupidity reigns supreme.

Anyway, it's well worth a shot if you can make it. Even if you, like the first reviewer, think that the story is slow and boring (which it's not) the style and superb animation and awesome soundtrack more than makes up for it. Just go see it. There's bound to be SOMETHING for everyone. If nothing else, Faye Valentine is nice to look at :p

(I've seen both movie and tv series two or three times, and it's still one of the best I've ever seen :))

I just saw it-- it takes about thirty minutes for the film to really take off and the rest is a great ride. I can't wait to get the DVD, I prefer the original Japanese dialogue.Originally posted by Lunatique
The movie isn't nearly as good as the TV series. It's just a two hour episode. The series has it's highs and lows, just like the movie.
