i need some help to get this model to work.
i want it to be a poly (so i can add the detail).
after the detail is added i want to smooth it.
i've been having trouble getting the smooth results i want.

it's a patch model done in maya 4.5

the pic shows the car in nurb patches

I'm not a Maya user, but isn't there a convert to poly function or something? Wouldn't the details come out cleaner if done in nurbs? It looks very good so far BTW, mustang right?

For you convert nurbs to polygon you must go to modify/convert nurbs to polygons/control points. I prefer work with poly for cars, its more controlable :thumbsup: .

Well for the smooth you got three ways, poly smooth , proxy smooth or by converting the poly mesh to sub and tune it up.
