I like what your going for here...but I kinda think that youve gone overboard with whatever treatment youve applied to the image. I like the lighting and render style you've got there but its just too hard to make out the image with the (Im guessing) photoshop styles youve applied. I mean, for me everything has to have a reason, but to create a good looking render and then obfuscate it seems a little backward. Anyway keep up the interesting and different work.

Cheers

Hi John,

I understand and appreciate your comments. For me, the render setup I created pushed me into dealing with a new unchartered area. I forced myself to deal with the result, to see if I could find something new and different. For me 3D is just a means, not the end.

I like rendering for rendering's sake, but I prefer art for art's sake.

Thanks for the feedback,

Steve

i really like this! i think this would be awesome to have hanging on a wall in my house, its just so out there and the look is very appealing.

One name comes to mind.... Salvidor Dali! I love his work, thus, I love this.

Cheers!
