View Full Version : Birds!!
Dietrying 09-03-2007, 10:45 PM So I am having a great deal of trouble with a bird rig, a parrot actually. I cannot seem to get my parrot to fold in the wings into a resting position. I have tried using the "actual" skeleton, cheating the bones, making the wings dense... now I am just looking to cheat. Anyone out there have suggestions or tutorials they can point me to?
Cheers,

Get 80% there with regular joint rotations etc...then apply a blendshape to achieve the final "beauty" look. That's how we did Chicken Joe and Mikey the bird from Surf's Up.

Most excelent tutorial, thank you much for the links and advice guys. The bird is very slow going but getting there. I am lucky that this will be a very small resolution with little detail. Yet I still want that proper function to the character.
