Hello,
I've been trying to get the structure of a male humanoid character right, with a lot of help thanks to Airflow and John-S on another forum - they've given me some great advice and references and have made several meshes in practice to get one I think looks good...However I still want to improve it more and more. I've looked at Hwasup's work to see his polygon flow, topology and muscle structure...So I know what my end result should be, it's the bit in between I've had the most trouble with. What I did with my latest was build on top of a low polygon 'base mesh' of my model into a higher poly mesh with sub-d's.
So what I am asking for is what other people do/prefer doing in terms of modelling a male body and any comments towards the improvement of my own work and into something more 'professional'.
This is my current model (Please Ignore the head and horns part, it's being replaced later with something that's hopefully better)
Using Silo 2:
