"Daybreak - Denali"
Lightwave 3D

This was the first piece I did, experimenting with using Lightwave to make Fine Art. Re-creating the _feel_ of Max Parrish's "Daybreak," was an incredible learning experience in understanding how "Artistic License" translates into Lighting, Surfacing and Modeling!

The actual Print resolution for this Image is Huge, the Elements themselves taking about two days to Render, (long before finding the nifty Tricks that were used in "Within the Tall Grass. :) )

Very nice image, it really reminds me of that silly scene in Episode 2 though hehe. But that's the movie's fault, not yours

not bad however some of the elements look out of place. It just seems like those wolves would be much happier playing out in a feild or in the forest than in this temple setting.

Those trees look interesting. Some combination of stars in the night and flowers.

The wolves look out of place in the environment. Unless those are werewolves.... :D ;) Just kidding. Close up of the wolves would be nice..

The original Parrish has two women where the Wolves are, and doesn't have a mountain front-and-center in the BG, (see attachment). I wanted to do my own little "tongue-in-cheek" Parody of the work, and also make it topical to Alaska. Wolves being a big thing here... and Denali, (Mt. McKinley – the tallest peak in North America,) being even bigger, ( :P ) the path for the Parody was clear!

(I'm posting the first test of the Wolf model, in a more "suitable" environment shortly...)
