View Full Version : Z95 Headhunter... super detailed project
SCIFI-3D-zoo 04-02-2003, 07:14 PM This is a model from Dr.Jones at SCIFI 3D. He's been at it for awhile and it's super detailed. He wants to release it for mass consumption... and the hope that somebody will want to texture ths baby. I know there's not alot of references on this Star Wars craft but if anybody has any suggestions for improvements let us know. Check out the detail:

It's available in MAX 4 and 3DS formats. Let me know if you think an OBJ would be better at: scifi3d at theforce.net .

Holy sh....t...
That's just insane :insane: You don't need to texture the engine, you'd only have to apply some base colours to the pipes and you're set... Everything has already been modeled :buttrock:
Seriously though... I mean... Sheesh... Awesome modeling job. I guess that sums it up pretty well. I wish the person who steps up to the task of texturing this best of luck. Some nice textures and it'd be awesomer :D
well if it looks like

then I guess the model is very head on :)
this picture has 4 engines however....I dont know...there's allot of differences between designs
if my memory serves me correctly, the z-95 in the game Xwing Alliance had two engines at the back.....but who says their own headhunter hasent been alterred, like han Solo did with his Correlian Transport ;)
Yours just looks damn awesome dude...excellent detail as well
lol wow, that's nutz! :applause: :applause:

I know ALMOST for sure that the back of x-wing round it is not, more boxy it should be.
Look this link at: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/aw_xj5.jpg
Greetz Yoda
this isnt an X-wing
its a z-95 Headhunter..the design that came before the Xwing was produced (so it says in the starwars storyline ;) )
its also a cheap fighter..so pirates often use it

............Somebody pinch me. Oooh ooh ooh...
Urg's right, that thing barely NEEDS any textures... give it some materials, a few colors, a kiss on the cheek, and let that baby fly!

I don't know. You could ask Dr.Jones for references if you're interested. Maybe it really does only need simple color maps.
