Title: Gold Watch on blue tile
Name: Phillip Drawbridge
Country: USA
Software: Carrara, Photoshop, Wings3D
This watch is a model I keep coming back to. It (the real one) was given to me by my parents as a wedding gift. I have rendered it a few times over the years and use it as a bench mark to see how much (if at all) I'm improving.
This model has been quite painful for me. I once posted a render of it to a website and was accused of not only having stolen the model, but also the final render! I was even given a link to a website where the "creator" had posted the image. Turned out he had stolen my image and posted it as his own.
A few renders from other angles and a couple of wireframes sorted out that problem.
Modelled in Wings and texured and rendered in Carrara.
Postwork in Photoshop, but really just some level adjustment and desaturation.
