View Full Version : 9.3 Scene Editor

Has anyone else noticed that the Scene Editor in LW9.3 is kinda buggy?

Sometimes the dissolve envelope button listed next to an item isn't actually the one that correlates to that item. If I click it to see the fcurve in Graph Editor I can see a completely different item's dissolve fcurve has been brought up. If I close Scene Editor and open it again, this fixes it.

If I have an object in Layout, then I go into Modeler and split it's geometry up into two different layers then go back to Layout, the new layer doesn't show up in Scene Editor. Again, if I close down Scene Editor then open it again, this fixes it.

A non-Scene Editor related issue I'm also having with 9.3 is that sometimes all or most of the materials in my scene will turn jet black. If I close the scene and reopen it, the problem is resolved.

Surely I'm not the only one having these problems?

Not those issues, not yet at least, but I've had Layout 9.3 crash many times when applying surfaces through the preset shelf. And I don't mean just older presets, but even those I've made myself, sometimes in the same session, through the "workspace" in the preset shelf.

I have had the same issue. Infact it got so bad, everytime I opened the surface editor LW crashed!

I updated the graphics drivers (ATI) and, touch wood, everything is working fine! Not to say your drivers are out of date!. Saying that, I have had the odd crash when surfacing but not as frequent as before.
