CGTalk - layers not working

I havent used painter for 2 weeks now, ive been busy with college and stuff. So when i came back to it today, i wasnt able to do anything on a new layer, no brush strokes or anything showed up. i bet its some extremely simple little button i dont know about, and i hope it is. But im extremely frustrated, and i would appreciate some help. i WANT TO DRAWWW!

Maybe you forgot to uncheck the Preserve Transparency box. This will prevent seeing the strokes.

no, it wasnt that. But when i was trying to fix it i was getting frustrated and began going through each layer type and testing it out and none of them worked. So i went back to default and went to get a drink. When i came back.... it worked. So i dont know what i did, if i did anything at all. Im pretty sure it was a glitch.

This has been brought up several times on this forum, but there is a bug in Painter that shows Preserve Transparency unchecked, when, occasionally, it behaves as if it is. If you ever have the problem again, check and un-check it. The problem goes away.
