Unique subject matter, I like it. The details on the legs are very cool and the colors of the beetles are great. :)

I don't like the texture of the wood that much tho, feels too smooth. If you made it more detailed and rough it would contrast nicely with the beetles. Also, on the beetles themselves, some intricate etched details would be awesome!:

Yea, wood could be better but that's minor. This is awesome!

thats pretty good! the details on the limbs are awesome. the specular is also nice. how about some noise on the textures? makes it look a little more realistic.

I like the beetles, very metalic.

The wood is the only thing that really needs help.

Very nice!! I like it, perhaps a bumpmap on the beetle wings to make them a bit less smooth (perhaps a motionblurred noisemap from photoshop?)

It looks very good. I am not sure about this, but I thought that the wing should have those fibrous (vertical bump line) running down... do you think so?

Anyway, it's just a suggestion. I MUST say that I am most impressed with your first work. Would you mind uploading a wireframe model of the bettle? I really wanted to see the wireframe version. Thanks Dorcus.

Thank for your suggestions.
To chepe297: It's the wireframe of my work. Maybe you meant you want to see my max file?

No... I don't need the MAX file. I just wanted to see the wire version. Thanks for that. :scream:

Best of luck with your future works. Great start! :scream:
