View Full Version : Why a blank frame is added to exported movie?

Hi,

I am using AE 7.0.

I made a 0:00:10:00 duration composition. I dragged a 0:00:10:00 duration avi movie to the composition.

When I played the avi movie in the Time Control, the movie stopped at the last frame (0:00:09:29). The last frame is the head of a woman. This is what I expected. However when I exported the composition to a new avi movie, a blank frame is add to 0:00:10:00. Therefore the movie stopped at a blank frame and not the head of a woman.

Please advise how to avoid adding a blank frame to exported movie.

Thanks and best regards

Alex

be careful I guess. When timecode gets over my head, I use frames instead, easier to visualise.

The way I understand it, it adds a blank frame, but you still have all your frames intact, right?

Don't have a workaround, but I've had a similar (but worse) issue with a previous version of AE, where on a number of clips, it would REPLACE my last frame with a blank frame. So I would actually lose a frame of data. Workaround: make the comp one frame longer, and trim the extra frame off in the editing program.
