Rencently i've spotted an Nvidia Quadro FX 3400 256MB video card on ebay for $300. I currently have an ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB card. I know that Quadro FX cards work better when working inside Maya 8.5 and rendering using mental ray but I'm not sure how much the different is.
Does anyone know of any benchmarks that compare quadro cards with Geforce or Radeon cards in terms of workstation usage like maya, max, rendering, etc. I paid $200 for my current card, if i'm not going to see much improvement with the FX3400 then i'll save my money. Otherwise, I would like to upgrade.
