View Full Version : How do I bind my mesh onto a skeleton with ik/fk switch arms?

Hi, can someone please help me with this, I'm so close to getting this bad boy done, yet so far...
How would I go about binding my mesh to a skeleton with ik/fk switch already in the arms? I used smooth bind on this example and everything is fine except for the arms. If someone could have a look at it I'd be more than grateful:

I hid the ik and fk arms but they are still influencing the weights.

hey man, busted link, but I think I know the problem. If you have your IK and FK joints in the hierarchy when you smooht skin to the mesh, itll effect the weighting. It would probably be best to open the hierarchy/outliner and select the joints you'll be skinning too, then select the mesh, then apply smooth skin.
