View Full Version : What's the latest on Blender Fluids in C4D?
Kokosing 08-30-2007, 03:42 PM I've been checking some old threads on trying to import Blender fluid sequences. I'm not sure from the posts if anyone ever actually accomplished this.
Is it possible? Could you tell me how you did it?
The fluid sim in Blender seems great and perfect for what I have in mind.
Thanks,
W

hi
have you tried to export the mesh as obj?
cinema 4d and blender can be joined with MDD files, but when it's a liquid i think it's not possible because the number of points (vertex) is not the same, the mdd files works when you export a mesh as obj for exemple then you make the mdd data to get pla, but in the case of liquid where there is variation of number of points, i dont think it's possible to use mdd.
but if you can export one frame as obj, so you can export the whole scene (90 frames=90 obj files) and then open them in cinema...just an idea

Thanks, I've heard of exporting object sequences like you describe. But I don't actually know how to do this. I'll have a look around, but if anyone knows more, I'd love to hear it.
