Is there a way to envelope (fade in and out) an deformation plugin, mdd files or the cloth, soft, hard body FX?

I would like to fade the effects of them off and let some prior animation take over?

With the DP mdd pointer node plugin you can mix between mdd's or blend between morphs and mdds or whatever you want.

I guess the best technique will be to do the calculation for "defom" FX (with gravity, collision, etc) and then bake dit out tpo mdd file and then use the mdd node and fase it out. i am guessing that the dp mdd has access to the envelope channel, right?

When I input a scalar node into the mdd node or click on the "e" envelope button , my animation is disabled.

It seems to only work with nothing else attached or configured.

to mix between 2 mdds-

add 2 mdd pointernodes,
add 1 mixer
Output from the mdd pointernodes into the BG and FG inputs on the mixer
Use the mixer to blend between the 2 (i know it says colour as the input but it works)
You can then envlelope the blend.

Ahhh gotcha.
I was trying to go for blend of mdd and keyframed animation but this is a workaround, thanks.
