Hi everyone;

I was modelling a truck and trailer. I want animate it. But i dont know how make animate trailer. I can explain like this... I want move only truck head and trailer move automatic like real world. Trailer must be trace truck's head.

How can animate this scene ? Thank you...

The truck can be animated quite realisticly with the Drive! plugin. It's not free, but it does amazing things and will save you a lot of time. Or you can hand keyframe the truck.

The trailer could be animated by rigging it with character bones. There may be some xpresso code that people have written to handle that task, also. Hopefully they will post here to tell you more than I just did.

If you had the Drive! plug I wonder if you could use it for the trailer also, just making the 'engine' have zero power, just use the suspension parts. I don't know, but it might work.

Thanks to @Ernest Burden. I haven't Drive plug-in. But i was examine it. It's very interesting plug-in, but not support "trailer". Trying other methods for this animation.

you could do it with constraints, i think there is a free tutorial at cineversity that uses something like this

Yes, Cineversity has a Tractor & Trailer tutorial which describes how to do this very easily.

Join up and search the titles for "Articulation Rig using Constraints".
(It's one of the free tutorials.)

Cheers, Alan.
