The Ring looks like it is floating and that groudn plane or what ever it is that the ring and bottle are sitting, is really distracting. Try putting the ring on a some what marble looking matrial that will really make the ring pop out. plus you can play around with makeing the reflection have the elven runes on fire or somthing like that.

Alright, I dont know what lighting you're using but its not working for this scene. Far to dark and contrasted. You need to rethink the compostion here. You've got the Ring, what the hell is the flask??

The material that the flask and Ring are sitting on is just distracting, go for somthing simpler, like green/brown felt or similar. Thats what I mean about designing your composition, decide what it is your trying to present, and then focus on that. So if it were me, Id focus on the ring, (which needs new materials too) and work on showing it closer, with a chain maybe.

Use different lighting, use area lights and some ambiant oculsion. Somthing I see noobs (no offence) do all the time with reflective materials is to not give the object somthing to reflect. So in your envroment, put in a texture, or set up a plane with a texture behind the camera, or you can you HDRi lighting, which will solve your lighting and reflection problems in one fell swoop. Good luck

Cheers John

Thanks for the comments guys, I hear you on the composition thing.
The Ring floating is a little odd, but its a lighting thing, easy to correct.
As for materials, I like em!
And the relections, not everthing has to shine, and without a strong light source it wouldn't, sorry.
Thanks again, comments are always welcome,
Cheers.
