Title: Guyver Low Res Game Model
Name: Bon Lam
Country: Hong Kong
Software:

Zshpere first rough skitch first.
then re-topology.
then paint a displacemap to bump major detail on the new smooth hi res mesh.
then paint texture and fine details.
then generate normal and diffuse map.
and it is the output.

I am quite satiflied with the result myself, so I would say it is Finalized.

2416 tris Mesh + 4kx4k Normal + 4kx4k Diffuse

Because of filesize, I posted a few loseless source, hi res zbrush shots and wire shots etc, somewhere else
which could show how I made it.

why is the big resolution on the normal and diffuse map? 1024 or max 2048 should be enough :) on the diffuse map i can see 5-6 very base colors and not anything.. need more details, a bit dirt, etc, etc.. and what is the material type? i can't see it :) more work in your specular maps, to sense a better material look.. and if you have got 7 sdiv levels in zb, you can add a very nice details ;) your hires model is very simple, nothing fancy details.. good luck for your next character!

I agree that the spec maps need a little more work, but I do like the materials overall. Nice model! (http://profoleo.com)

Thanks all you guys for the comments. I will apply your suggestions for my next try :D

The Maps and Model has to be so high res, because I didnt plan well so the face is relatively to small in the VU, and the leg cant get enough vectex for detailing... and I learned a lesson for this.

I work very slow... almost half year to made it, becase I am not a pro. :)
still got too much to learn......

btw, Firemoon, thanks for your message, I dont know the other way, so I have you reply you here.
I saw your gallery and like you works very much. you can make nice shading just by diffuse map, without lighting and normal map. YOU REALLY CAN PAINT!!

While I have problem painting Smooth curve or gradient in photo.
so I have to use path tool and feather select all the time, which is slow yet the result is not very nice (T_T) ....I really want know how you can do it.
